Rudraksha Panch Mukhi Mala(Sanskrit for garland) is the most commonly
available and economically priced mala. It is made of 108 Five Mukhi
Rudraksha beads.According to the Vedic literature, Brahmand (the universe) is made up of 108 elements. Thus, Panch Mukhi malas usually consist of 108 Five Mukhi Rudraksha beads and a larger "Meru" bead. The tassled "Meru" bead is symbolic of the transcended state and indicates the beginning and end of a cycle.
The Panch Mukhi Mala is said to have many healing properties. It is rich with "Shakti" and calms the "Kundalini", thus making it easier to rise. Rudraksha bead is said to open the heart chakra.
