Lord Skanda is the spiritual son of Lord Shiva. He is also known as
Kartikeya or Murugan Skanda. Lord Skanda has six faces and twelve arms.
This avtar of Lord was granted by Lord Shiva to protect the Gods from
the Demons. This great son of Lord Shiva became the leader of the
celestial forces. The battle was won by the Gods under the able guidance
of Lord Skanda. The spiritual significance of Lord Skanda is the
supremity of supreme efficacy, sincere prayer and self surrender.
